Top Reads of 2017

SCAN has covered a lot of ground in 2017! From responding to the proposed refugee ban, to studying the state of childhood in our own nation, we’ve rounded-up our top reads of this year that highlight these key moments.

  1. High-quality early childhood education requires training and investment. Making a positive and long-lasting impact on the lives of young learners begins by investing in high-quality educators in the early education field.

  4. Invisible wounds: Amena’s story. Last year alone, more than 800 refugee children escaped the horrors of war, only to drown in the Mediterranean Sea. Save the Children helped save more than 400 children from drowning at sea. One of these children is 5-year-old Amena.*
