Weekly Wisdom: World Malaria Day

Every two minutes, malaria kills a child. Although malaria mortality has dropped by 60% between 2000 and 2015, the disease still remains a threat in many parts of the world, especially for children under the age of five. Currently, malaria is responsible for 5% of all under 5-deaths. In order to wipe out the disease for good, we must scale up our efforts. This means increasing access to health services, providing vaccines and immunization, training skilled workers and investing in humanitarian aid. This World Malaria Day, take action to help reduce preventable deaths and save children’s lives!
