Weekly Wisdom: Protecting Children’s Rights

2018 is here, and the stakes are high. Right now, Congress is running out of time to pass its 2018 funding bills, which means there’s a lot at risk for kids in the U.S. and around the world. Millions of kids in the U.S. are missing out on high-quality early education. Programs like Head Start and Child Care Development Block Grants help kids living in poverty succeed and deserve robust funding. And when 15,000 kids around the world die every day from preventable causes, now is not the time to cut funding for health and nutrition programs that help them survive. As you make your New Year’s resolutions, consider adding helping children in need to your list.

Do good for kids and urge Congress to protect funding for critical kids’ programs!
