Wednesday Wisdom from USAID Administrator Mark Green

Now more than ever, America’s leadership is needed abroad. With more than 65 million people displaced around the world and 16,000 children dying each day from preventable and treatable causes like pneumonia and malnutrition, robust investments in foreign aid are critical in lowering these numbers to zero. The good news is thanks to U.S. leadership, the number of children dying under the age of 5 from treatable illnesses has dropped by more than 50 percent since 1990.

We know what works to save lives. Let’s work together to achieve our goal of ending these deaths and bring relief to families across the world.

Urge Congress to protect investments in foreign aid!
