The federally-funded Head Start program provides an important safety net for our nation’s most vulnerable children. Head Start and Early Head Start programs reach children living in poverty from birth to age 5 – during the most critical stages of their development. By doing so, these programs give at-risk children opportunities to succeed in school and life that they might otherwise never have.

Save the Children applied for and won the grant for Head Start in the county where Emery lives after the long-time local provider received a poor federal review, noting several deficiencies in their care of the children.

In 2014, Save the Children began providing service in Emery’s county. Save the Children currently serves 538 children through Head Start and Early Head Start classes and family services across six centers in the county.

Save the Children is proud to create pioneering programs that not only gives children the best chance for success, but also inspire and achieve lasting impact for underserved children across the country. By transforming children’s lives now, we change the course of their future and ours.

Join us to ensure that all children have access to early childhood education.
