Last week, the Senate passed its version of the tax reform bill, which is terrible for kids and families. Now, according to leaders in Congress, the bill will move to a conference committee where the House of Representatives and Senate will work out differences in their bills before a vote on final passage. The tax reform bill will harm families and will drive up the deficit by nearly $1.5 trillion. As a result, we are likely to see attacks on Head Start, child care and other early learning programs. We must stop this bill.
